This BS BT12B BS MF Motorcycle Battery is sealed, VRLA, Valve Regulated Lead Acid, and maintenance Free. As with all motorcycle Batteries for the best result they should be charged with an intelligent Motorcycle Battery Charger, especially when the battery is not being used constantly, ideally with an Optimate Charger such as the Optimate 2 Motorcycle Battery Charger or the Optimate 3 Motorcycle Battery Charger. Note, this Battery can only be used in applications where it is fitted in an upright position. For all other applications where the battery is fitted on its side or at an angle the BS BT12B4 Motorcycle Battery should be used.
