The Arai Emergency Release System is designed to release the cheek pads quickly, in an emergency, allowing the motorcycle helmet can be removed more easily. By pulling separately on both orange loops, which are fitted on either side of the helmet, the left and right cheek pads will slide out giving a larger aperture making helmet removal easier for trained medical personnel and rescuers, minimising further risk of injury.
The Arai Emergency Tab Release system is identical to that used in Moto GP and Superbike Championships throughout the world, designed to give very quick access to breathing and medical assistance at the track side. This System is now available for all Arai race helmets as well as some Arai road motorcycle helmets.
