Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa

The Suzuki Hayabusa was launched in 1999 as the GSX1300RX and instantly became a legend as the fastest production motorcycle due in part to its engine and also due to the state of the art aerodynamics. The fastest Production Motorcycle ever was previously held by the Honda CBR 11000 Blackbird. The tongue in cheek name ‘Hayabusa’ is a Japanese Bird Of prey; which coincidently is known to prey on and kill Blackbirds. The 1299cc watercooled engine was electronically restricted in 2001 following a ‘gentlemans agreement’ between the European and Japanese manufacturers, the engine capacity was increased in 2008 to become 1340cc.
