Back in 1981, when founders Peter Laughton and David Wooding started the company 'Frank Thomas' based in Northamptonshire, an area of England long associated with boot and shoe production, by 1990 they were ready to develop outside of the home market. Export markets were established throughout Europe, with sales and distribution direct to retailers.
